Introduction

Wotan cares about maintaining the respect and trust of our users. Respecting your privacy is an important part of that, and we take all reasonable efforts to fulfill that duty of respect.

What Information Do We Collect And Why Do We Collect It?

Our webservers automatically collect information, including your browser, browser version, and other technical information. We collect this information because it affects how we display the site. In addition, we collect the URL that you came from to reach our site, the search engine query that you used to find us (if you came from a search engine), and other marketing-related information; Wotan is a business, and we need this information in order to know how to effectively get the word out about our existence.

In addition, we give you the option to provide us with an email address (either at signup time or subsequently). This address is used only to send you your password if you forget it, and is never shared with third parties.

Use of Cookies

Our site uses cookies as part of the login process and to store various preferences that you have set. You are free to refuse cookies, but the service may not work properly, or at all, if you so refuse.

What We Do With The Information

In general, Wotan does not collect information which we do not have a specific need for; the information we do collect is used for purposes of improving our services and improving our marketing.

Sharing of Information, General Policy

At our discretion, we may provide aggregated, non-identifying information to third parties. Two examples of such information might be "300,000 of Kayuda's users are from Wisconsin, USA", or "350,000 of Kayuda's users are males between 18 and 35."

Like any company, Wotan can be compelled by law to provide your information to the authorities (e.g., if it is subpoenaed by a court). Unless so compelled, we will not share your personal, identifying information with any third party. Examples of "personal, identifying information" would include your email address and billing information.

Your Options Regarding Your Information

Upon request, we will make all reasonable efforts to provide you with a copy of all information that we have related to you, and to allow you to update or correct it. If you close your account, we will purge your information from our systems. It is possible that certain traces of your information will remain, either in encrypted archived copies of our database, or in the workspaces of other users. We will make all reasonable efforts to remove this information, consistent with not damaging the integrity of our backups or the user experience of our other customers.

Changes To This Policy

Wotan may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to your primary email address, or by placing a prominent notice on our site.

We are glad to answer any questions you may have. Please contact us at info at wotanllc dot com.
